eFacts Tutorial
These screens are for example only. They do not represent up-to-the-moment information found in eFACTS.
Once you open eFACTS, you see search options in the blue bar on the left.
Authorization Search: The PA Bulletin does not display the Authorization Number. Simply phone the DEP office listed in the PA Bulletin to request that number.
Client Search: For “Client Name” Put in the company name exactly as it is in the PA Bulletin, without the LLC (or LP, Corp, etc.). In the “Client Type” box, put the LLC, Corp, etc. (Caution: If your search doesn’t go anywhere, there could have been a slight variation on the client name, such as “services” vs “SVS” .)
These results are returned:
Click on the link for the company and open up a list of the current applications and permits of that company. (This image is a partial result.)
Read down the page to find the activity in your area. The number is the site number.
Click on the link and bring up Site Details.
For the first one:
Click on the Authorization ID above. You get:
In the above window, you see a link for Public Permit Review.
(Note: Not all applications/permits will have Public Permit Review. That link is only present if the application has been received electronically or converted to electronic media by DEP. Many applications are paper. )
When you click on Public Permit Review, you see the following. Click and view at each link.
Approved permits
As noted above, the in the PA Bulletin’s Approval section, you will find permit numbers. ESCGP stands for Erosion and Sediment Control General Permit. The number after the # is the permit number.
In eFACTS copy the permit number, ESG290820005-00 into the Permit number box.
You get:
Click on the Authorization ID above. You get:
Click on the site link.
The Site Details will give you the site address.
Go back to the Authorization Search Details Screen and click Public Permit Review. (Note: If there is no link for public permit review, contact the applicable DEP office.)
